Speaking at the dedication ceremony of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Umuoriehi, Umuahia North LGA, Governor Otti addressed the growing opposition against his re-election bid. The alliance, comprising former governors Orji Uzor Kalu, Theodore Orji, and Okezie Ikpeazu, has been vocal in their criticism of Otti’s administration. However, the governor dismissed their efforts, arguing that these are the same individuals who, in his view, failed to deliver meaningful development to the state during their tenures.
And this is the part most people miss... Otti didn’t hold back, accusing the opposition of prioritizing personal agendas over the collective good of Abia. He confidently declared that their attempts to undermine his leadership would ultimately fail, stating, 'Every gathering they make against me will collapse.'
Referring to the recent uproar, Otti quoted Pastor Uguru, who had mentioned the 'noise' surrounding the opposition’s activities. 'I want us to just dismiss it as noise,' Otti said, adding, 'It’s always the empty barrel that makes the loudest noise. They are a tiny minority, and God doesn’t make mistakes. He doesn’t have an unfinished project. So, I don’t want anybody to lose breath or worry about it.'
The governor reassured Abians that his administration remains committed to transforming the state’s narrative, focusing on progress and development.
